Description
Acer palmatum Higasayama has fantastic spring leaf colour. Unique spring buds open with colours of yellow and red unfolding multi-coloured with deep green, cream and pink. In summer leaf colour changes to deep green veins with cream outline. Unique and desirable. Upright twiggy growth habit to 4 to 5m tall (can be kept much smaller with trimming). Variegation often not present in young plants or later in summer – it will develop as the tree matures (within a year or two). Prefers Sun/ part shade in hot climates. Supplied in a 1 litre
